RENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND PASSPORT:

  The reservation holder must present a valid driver’s license from country of residence under his/her name with an expedition date greater than a year. Please be advised that if the driver’s license is not in Roman Alphabet, an International Driver’s License will be required as well. Please be aware that a digital driver's license will not be accepted at the counter.

  An International Driver’s License might be mandatory if traveling to the following states:

  Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, Ohio, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.

  We highly recommend that you verify this information with the corresponding Department of Motor Vehicles before travelling in order to avoid inconveniences during your trip.

  IMPORTANT NOTICE: The reservation holder’s driver’s license must be the in most recent format according to the regulations of the country or origin. The document must indicate an expedition and expiration date, it must also be registered on the actual International Driver’s License Guide in order to meet the rental requirements at the counter. Please be advised that if the previous requirement is not met, you will not qualify for rental.

• ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS:

  The reservation holder might be requested to present a second form of ID at the counter. Some of the options are the following:

  • Voter’s Registration Card (INE)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Military ID
  • Bank Statements
  • College ID or Proof of Recent Enrollment
  • Health Insurance Card
• ROUNDTRIP TICKETS: Roundtrip airline and/or cruise tickets must be presented at the counter.
• MINIMUM AGE: The reservation holder (Main Driver) and any additional drivers included on the rental must be at least 25 years old. Some rental agencies allow underage drivers (Under 25) by accepting an underage surcharge which must be paid directly at the counter.
• DEPOSIT GUARANTEE: A deposit will be required as a guarantee at the time of pick-up. The corresponding amount will be determined by the rental company and will be retained on the credit card registered at the counter.
• CREDIT CARD: The reservation holder must have a valid credit card under his/her name. The credit card holder's name must be printed on the card and it must count with sufficient funds to cover the deposit guarantee. The following credit cards are accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Diners, American Express and/or Discover.

  IMPORTANT NOTICE: If the credit card does not meet the previously mentioned requirements, the rental will not be granted.

• VOUCHER: It is important that you print your voucher and present it at the counter in order to avoid extra charges.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A BETTER RENTAL EXPERIENCE:

• COVERAGE: In case the coverage insurance is declined for the rental on the reservation, you must present proof of coverage through your credit card or any other source.
• FUEL TANK: Should you not include the tank of gas on your reservation, we recommend you to return the vehicle with a full tank in order to avoid extra charges.
• CONTRACT: Please go over your contract thoroughly before agreeing to the terms. In some cases, additional services might be included without renter's consent.
• ADDITIONAL COVERAGES: The following coverages are NOT required by Law and are NOT mandatory at the time of rental:
• Personal Coverage
• Theft Protection
• Roadside Assistance
• Pre-paid Toll Pass: This is not a mandatory service. However, it is highly recommended since most of the tolls roads in the USA no longer accept cash payments.
